The Cave Run Sailing Association invites you to join us for our 41st Grand Annual Regatta. Located in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the Autumn colors make Cave Run Lake an exceptionally beautiful place to sail.
Please Note: Due to Covid-19, This year’s regatta will only be a one-day race event. We will not have any fees or enjoy social group gatherings, which include on-site registration, skipper’s meeting, meals, evening activities, or camping.
Please be aware of, and practice social distancing and CDC Covid-19 Guidelines at all times.
Rules: This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined by the current edition of the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of US Sailing rules 2017-2020, except as any of these are altered by this NOR or the Sailing Instructions. Sailing Instructions will be available online @ Grand Annual Sailing Instructions 2020
Scoring: Boats will compete in fleets based on Portsmouth handicaps. Scoring will be Low Point Scoring System Appendix A, as amended by the Sailing Instructions. Good sportsmanship is expected and required. All decisions made by the Race Committee and CRSA Board members will be final.
Registration: There will be no fees. On-line registration is required – There will be no manual onsite registration. Please register by September 20, 2020.
Check-In: September 26, 2020 11:00 On the lake at the Race Committee boat. Weather conditions dependent. A minimum of one race constitutes a regatta and all races shall be scored. An overall Grand Annual Award will be given based on corrected time of all boats.

Launching Facilities: Boat Launching facilities are available at either the Scott Creek Boat Ramp or through the Twin Knobs Campground Facility.
Passes for the Scott Creek Boat Ramp are required and may be purchased at the Ranger Station, the Store across the Ramp, or the Marina Office.
Camping: Camping will not be provided by Cave Run Sailing Association this year. Please contact the Daniel Boone National Forest Service – Cave Run Lake
