One of the newest endeavors of the Cave Run Sailing Association (CRSA) is the RC Sailing group!
RC sailing has a little something for everyone:
- Maybe you like building things; RC boats come with “some assembly required.”
- Maybe you like a little competition; many of the meetings are scored races.
- Maybe you just want a reason to get outside or be around the water; you’ll get both.
- And more!
Lets face it, some of us unfortunately don’t have the time, resources, or energy to go sailing as much as we would like. RC Sailing is a great way to remedy some of those obstacles while spending time with like-minded individuals.
First things first, you’ll need a boat! The CRSA RC Sailing group uses the Dragonforce 65, a very popular model that is even used in international races and competitions.
2023 RC Sailing Dates:
Where: Jacobson Park Lake
When: Every Wednesday from 6pm – 7:30pm, April 19th – October 25th!
