First Splash Sunfish Regatta

Thanks to ALL who participated in this event and made it possible!

Jacobson Reservoir is located in suburban Lexington surrounded by a beautiful park and golf course. Though it may be small, we encourage you to  try what has to be one of the most unique regattas in the Midwest. We host our weekly Sunfish racing there, and it has proved to actually be a very fun place to race. The racing is extremely tight, tactical, and exciting. In the spring, enough wind is usually not a problem. Come give it a try, you won’t regret it!

If you don’t want to race, please feel free to come and spectate! Set up our chairs on the shoreline, just like you would at a soccer game, and cheer on the racers as they sail by only a few yards away. This is “truly stadium sailing.”
