RC Sailing

The radio sailing fleet is looking forward to our second season of racing, beginning
with a “Fun Sail” on May 1st at 6:00PM.
Official racing will commence at 6:00 PM on May 8th and will continue every
Wednesday evening. The location for both events is yet to be determined. We have a
club boat for member’s use and it will be available at all events.
The Dragon Force 65 is one of the most popular radio control models and as a result
is often difficult to purchase. The only supplier is radiosaiiling.net and they are
currently out of stock. If interested in purchasing a boat, check frequently with
radiosailing.net and when available, order the boat that comes with both the “A” and
“A+” rigs. The “A+” sail is used the vast majority of the time when racing.
Several of our current sailors are more than willing to assist in preparing the boat for
racing once you are able to purchase one. We have learned from our past mistakes,
so you may as well take advantage of our trial by error experiences.
Remember it is not either r/c sailing or big boat sailing: you can do both!
The low cost of the Dragon Force 65 makes it easy to be able to sail once a week

Lets face it, some of us unfortunately don’t have the time, resources, or energy to go sailing as much as we would like. RC Sailing is a great way to remedy some of those obstacles while spending time with like-minded individuals.
