The radio-controlled sailing fleet is looking forward to our fourth season of racing, beginning with a Saturday event featuring a tune-up session, a cookout potluck lunch, and racing. This will be on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. Starting at 10:00 am. Lakeshore Village Clubhouse, 543 Laketower Dr., Lexington, KY 40502.
Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, will be a “Fun Sail” starting at 6:00 pm.
Official racing will commence at 6:00 pm on May 13th,2026, and will continue every Wednesday evening.
The final race date will be Wednesday, October 28th, 2026. So that awards can be prepared for the CRSA Banquet on Saturday, November 7th.
We have a club boat for members’ use, and it will be available at all events. You can try it before you buy it.
Dragon Force 65 is one of the most popular radio control models and, as a result, is often difficult to purchase. The suppliers that we have used are olympiamodelsailors.com and radiosailingUK. The UK site has much better pricing, but freight is more. If ordering a boat, it is best to order with both the “A” and “A+” rigs. The “A+” sail is used for the vast majority of the time when racing.
Several of our current sailors are more than willing to assist in preparing the boat for racing once you can purchase one. We have learned from our past mistakes, so you may as well take advantage of our trial-and-error experiences.
Remember it is not either r/c sailing or big boat sailing: you can do both!

Let’s face it, some of us unfortunately don’t have the time, resources, or energy to go sailing as much as we would like. RC Sailing is a great way to remedy some of those obstacles while spending time with like-minded individuals.
