ASA-101 Basic Keelboat Sailing - Wave 2 - Instructs the skills to demonstrate skippering a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20-27 feet length by day in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Course includes nomenclature, points of sail and basic navigation rules to avoid collision and hazards. Auxiliary power operation is not required.
Who - The course is open to 2015 CRSA members desiring to challenge test the basic keelboat standard. There are no pre-requisite courses required except sailing experience.
Where – The one day on the water instruction will be on Cave Run Lake, Kentucky Lake or other suitable body of water.
When - The one day sailing instruction will be coordinated with your assigned instructor.
How - First step is registration, upon registration you will receive your student packet with course book and logbook.
