ASA-105 Coastal Navigation
Students will be able to demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. This is course is approximately 20 hours of classroom instruction. Skill demonstration is solving navigation problems on charts in a classroom setting.
Who – The course is open to 2015 CRSA members desiring to learn traditional navigation skills. There are no prerequisite courses required. Please be sure to renew your membership (on-line) prior to the course.
Where – Lake’s Edge Clubhouse in Lexington, KY.
When – February 20 – 22, 2015. The sessions will be Friday evening 6-10 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
How – First step is registration. We are planning on a class of 10 on a first come, first serve basis and need you commitment on or before January 16th. This will allow getting course materials to the participants before the course. Cost is $300.00 which can be paid on line through the event process.
